Graphics and gameplay
The PlayOJO Wish Upon A Jackpot slot takes place in a type of anti-Westeros land where the characters of all fairy tales coexist happily together. The game is set in an enchanted forest but despite the syrupy nature of the subject matter, you get a sense this one doesn’t take itself too seriously, and the style of character design suggest a hint of black comedy (like all good fairy tales have!).
Low value symbols are represented by Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 in a knobbly, mystic font. A magical castle comes next but it’s upstaged on the fairy tale icon league table by Cinderella’s slipper and a golden harp. Then comes the Wish Upon A Jackpot logo as the highest value regular symbol, followed by the Frog Prince who acts as the Wild.
Other characters include a Fairy Godmother-Shrek fusion creation, a dubious Rumpelstiltskin and some androgynous gingerbread men-people. The whole scene gets a generous sprinkle of magic dust and glinting starriness that give Wish Upon A Jackpot slot machine a pleasingly surreal quality.
