Kill Em All is more like a classic dungeon-crawling video game than an online slot. Each time you play, you start off at the first level and have to beat each monster to open the chests and get your rewards. Game features

Hack and slash

Unlike other slots, your objective isn’t to match symbols along paylines. There are three reels with just one row, and any symbol that lands will cause an attack against the monster and trigger a respin. If you land 3 weapons on the same spin, five respins will be awarded.

Weapons can trigger critical hit attacks at random, which will remove 3 lives from the monster you’re currently facing.

Monsters

When you start the game, a trail of monsters is generated in a queue, and you face one monster at a time. The monster’s health is represented by the hearts on the screen. If you reduce the monster’s health completely, you’ll move on to the next monster. The 4th, 8th or 12th monster in the queue is the level boss, and defeating it will increase your level and your potential rewards.

Chests

Every monster in Kill Em All guards a chest, which contains a payout. The size of the payout will depend on the level. What’s more, some chests can contain special features such as multipliers, respins, bonus games, chest upgrades and double chests. There’s also the shrink potion, which will reduce the next monster’s life to one heart, and the silver sword, which will award a payout of between 1x and 15x your bet each time you land a hit on the next monster.

Level up

Defeating a boss monster levels up your character, earning a persistent level up feature. You can hold up to three level up features at once, or four if you’re in the Dungeon Domination free spins round.

Level up features include sticky multipliers between 2x and 5x, extra chests that are opened each time you kill a monster, and weapon upgrades that will upgrade every weapon by one level. There’s also the chest upgrade, golden sword, which awards a payout of between 1x and 15x for monster hits, and the attack symbol, which will give you a free hit on every monster.

Free spins

There are two different free spins bonus rounds in Kill Em All, each of which are triggered by landing the bonus keys. If you land 2 bonus keys and a super bonus key, you’ll unlock the Dungeon Domination bonus round, while the Dungeon Smackdown bonus is unlocked from 3 bonus keys.

The Dungeon Smackdown round gives you 5 free spins, with any progressions and features from the base game carried over. These features remain persistent throughout the bonus and each time a weapon lands, it grants an extra spin.

The Dungeon Domination free spins round works in the same way, except that you can have up to four level up features.

My verdict

This is a really interesting game and I was engrossed during my time playing. Although I never managed to get past the second-level boss, there’s a lot of fun to be had spinning the reels and attempting to beat your score. The bonus features are really promising too.
