Fishin Frenzy Bubble Bonanza has a unique bubble mechanism that comes into play during the slot's two features: Free Spins and Bonus Wheel.

Free Spins

The slot's free spins feature is triggered when you land five or more fish in bubble symbols on the reels at once. You'll get the same number of free spins as there are fish in bubble symbols, up to a maximum of 15. During your free spins, the triggering bubbles remain in place and are given cash values. Landing any fish in them collects the cash value, while gold fish increase their value. Additional bubbles can also land, merging with existing bubbles and adding extra spins. Any wild fisherman symbol that lands in a bubble adds the bubble's cash value amount to the Freddie's Catch basket. At the end of your free spins, you'll get the cash value total of the Freddie's Catch basket plus those of any fish visible on the reels.

Bonus Wheel

During the Free Spins feature, a bonus wheel symbol can land on the reels. For every bonus wheel symbol you land, one wedge of the bonus wheel above the reels is highlighted. At the end of the Free Spins feature, you'll get to spin the bonus wheel for a chance to win one or more of the game's four jackpots. There are two fixed jackpots, Cod and Bass, of 10 and 20 coins, respectively. The two progressive jackpots, Trout and Marlin, increase with player activity over time.

My verdict

Despite the saturation of fishing themed slots out there, this one still managed to pique my interest. I was fascinated by the unique fish in bubbles mechanism. Add in a multi win point bonus wheel to trigger multiple jackpot wins at once and that's a reel winner in my book.
