My verdict

As I've mentioned before, dabbling with remakes can be tricky, with eliminating much-loved features in favour of the 'meh' ones an ever-present danger. What Reel Time Gaming has done here is a bit of a mixed bag, really. While they've done well to retain the original free games feature, even ramping it up from 12 free spins to up to 25, and added the awesome Megaways mechanic for up to 15,625 ways to win, it's not all good news. One of the major drawbacks of this slot is the dated sounds, which haven't been touched compared to the original - and that's a real shame.

That said, this game still has its place, most suitably as an introductory Megaways slot for those who are as yet unfamiliar with ways to win magic. Thanks to its high volatility, you'll get a good mix of low/high wins on an unpredictable basis. The main feature might take a while to trigger, but when it does, it's a good one!
