We may be the experts in fairness, but we also think it’s nice to blow our own trumpet every now and then.
And we are absolutely over the moon to have one of the most recognisable sonic logos in the UK (no trumpets were harmed in the making of our logo).
But what is a sonic logo, we hear you ask? In a nutshell, it’s the funky, catchy jingle, unique to our brand that you can hear at the end of all of our TV and radio adverts.
In their recently published 2021 index, SoundOut looked at 135 brands in both the UK and the US to conduct a report on how effective some of the world’s best known sonic logos are.
PlayOJO ranked 23rd in the UK, which wouldn’t quite be a medal in the sonic logo Olympics, but we’re pretty chuffed to finish ahead of some major players, including the Premier League, Tesco, Asda and Heart.
We also ranked number one out of all gambling brands reviewed, so you can bet your life that our sonic logo is both effective and packed full of personality.
But don’t just take our word for it – the guys over at SoundOut know their stuff.
More than 30,000 consumer participants took part in the research, creating more than 1 million words of written reviews and generating over 10 million data points.
We’re no mathematicians but even we know that’s a lot of numbers!
Our creative wizards here at OJO towers worked super hard with Howling Wolf productions and Deli Music to develop a unique sonic logo which reflects the playfulness of the brand and we’re delighted that it’s been officially recognised by the industry. We created a number of sonic logos for different uses and have slightly different versions for our casino and bingo products which you can hear in the ads here.
