To trigger the Kingfisher Free Spins bonus round, you need to crack an egg. Above each of the reels is a different coloured egg. If a Kingfisher lands on a reel, it will peck the egg above it. This may cause it to crack open. If one or more eggs crack open, this will award 10 Free Spins as well as the modifier/feature enhancement linked to the cracked egg(s).

In addition to the inclusion of any active upgraded symbols during the free spins round, fish symbols with money values are added to the reels. Whenever a Kingfisher lands on the reels, it will collect all values in view. If the respins modifier is activated, the Kingfisher will wait to collect the values until the end of the last respin.

Each egg’s modifier is as follows:

• Red Egg (Reel 1) – Multiplier Enhancement – It starts at 1x and upgrades by 1 each time a special “x” symbols lands during the round, up to a maximum of 5x. The enhancement multiples the value of every Fish symbol or upgraded symbol during a Kingfisher collection.

• Gold Egg (Reel 3) – Golden Egg Feature (more on this later)

• Blue Egg (Reel 4) – Symbol Upgrade – Beginning with the 10 symbol, a monetary value is added to the lowest paying symbol for every “↑” symbol that lands during the feature. Each landed up arrow symbol highlights an additional royal symbol in the box on the egg, advancing from 10 to Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. Any monetary values added to these symbols sticks until the end of the free spins round and are collected during any Kingfisher collection.

• Purple Egg (Reel 5) – Respin Upgrade - If a heart symbol lands during a free spins spin, it’s added to the box beneath the egg. If a Kingfisher lands on the reels, its symbol and all Fish and Upgraded symbols stick in place, with only the remaining positions spinning. If no new Fish or upgraded symbols land in the next spin, a chance is taken away. Once all chances are depleted, or – even better – all reel positions are filled with Fish and upgraded symbols, the respins end. At this point, the Kingfisher collects all money values and symbols.
