The presenter chats with players, takes their bets and then spins the giant wheel. The goal of the game is to predict what the winning number will be once the wheel stops spinning and the pointer is inside a segment between two pins. Mega Wheel is a favourite among online casino players because during each round of this high volatility game, one number is randomly selected as the Mega Lucky Number (Mega Multiplier). This gives you a shot at winning a massive prize of 500x the bet if you land the “Mega Win”.

A Mega Win aside, the size of a win in Mega Wheel is based on your bet multiplied by the winning number. Not including the random Mega Multiplier, each of the nine numbers is multiplied by itself (e.g., 1/1x, 2/2x, 5/5x, 20/20x, 40/40x, etc.). So, if you bet on 5 and 5 is the winning number, you’ll be paid out five times your bet amount. Since that’s the case, you might be curious to know what the bet range is for this game. The Mega Wheel Canada version allows you to place bets anywhere between $0.10 and $500. This makes it a great option for novice players and high rollers alike. With good bankroll management, it can accommodate just about any size budget.

Like many of Pragmatic’s online slots, Mega Wheel has multipliers. The most important – and pretty much the only game feature – is the Mega Multiplier.

After all bets for the round have been placed, the host spins the wheel. While the wheel is spinning, a Mega Multiplier is selected at random for a random number. This selection is done by random number generator (RNG) software. The multiplier selected can be anywhere from 1x to 500x. If you’ve bet on the number that’s selected and it’s the winning one, you’ll receive the Mega Multiplier payout.

The biggest win is to bet on 40 with the 500x Mega Multiplier applied. I did not score this win when I played. It’s the hardest one to win due to two factors. The first is the RNG would have to select 40 with 500x. The second is that there is only one 40 number segment on the wheel. All other numbers have multiple segments, with 1 having the most (20 segments).

If you enjoy keeping track of the numbers that have been selected, you might like the Mega Wheel statistics tool. This tool makes it easy to see what numbers and multipliers have appeared over several previous rounds. In other words, it lets you see what numbers are “hot” (have won frequently) and “cold” (haven’t won much). Of course, do remember that even if you know what numbers are hot and cold, knowing this has zero impact over a game’s results. All outcomes are 100% random. No win is ever guaranteed.

Mega Wheel has three convenient features to make betting a breeze. My verdict

I’ll be honest, at first glance, the sheer simplicity of the Mega Wheel casino game had me doubting it would hold my interest for any length of time. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s one of the most engaging and entertaining live games I’ve played and is now at the top of my favourites list.
